What’s New in PhoneBurner: May 2021

Last Updated on December 2, 2021

Spam calls can not only be annoying, but they also make it more difficult to make legitimate contact with potential customers as a business.

Thankfully, the U.S. government is cracking down on robocalls with the STIR/SHAKEN legislation, which goes into effect in June 2021.

Here are some recent updates we’ve made to ensure your compliance and help you maintain a cleaner, more trusted calling profile.

Buy multiple local numbers

local ID

You can now purchase multiple Local ID numbers from any area code.

Our system will automatically rotate your numbers to reduce call volume and potential for scam flags. Callbacks are intelligently routed back to the rep who called each contact.

Pause a number

Concerned about high call volume from one of your numbers leading to a potential scam likely flag? “Pausing” a number allows you to still receive calls, but temporarily prevents it from being used as an outbound Caller ID, while it cools off.

A-level attestation

As of June 30, 2021, all calls from PhoneBurner are “signed” to support compliance with the FCC’s new STIR/SHAKEN mandates. By completing a business profile PhoneBurner can help you obtain the highest attestation level (A) on calls from numbers you buy through PhoneBurner.

Inbound call recording

Premium users can record incoming calls to their vPhone numbers.
