You love helping people and engaging in persuasive communication to help them take the next step toward their own success. You love talking on the phone and breaking down complex systems into digestible, salient points. You’re skilled in the art of the “discovery call,” and understand how to identify pain points and explain how a solution might deliver value. You have a personality that people enjoy and respond to; you make a great “first impression” and are excellent on the phone. (If people ignore you and don’t want to take your calls, then you will fail in this role.) In addition to be very good at selling, you also must be extremely reliable and organized. In short, you’re someone who does what they say they are going to do and doesn’t often let things “slip through the cracks.”
You’re smart, a quick learner, hardworking, independent, and able to manage yourself while working remotely. While you’re open to constructive feedback and regular coaching, you do NOT thrive on being micromanaged and love to be given the freedom to excel in a job with real responsibility. You will be the first live contact our prospective clients have with our company, so the first impression you make is very important. You will be the friendly, professional sales development rep who engages with your assigned incoming leads that creates a free trial of our service (we have a VERY strong inbound pipeline). You’ll conduct “welcome calls” to identify whether our solution is a fit, you’ll answer initial questions as a “product expert”, and ultimately sending qualified team prospects through the next steps of the sales pipeline (handing off to an account executive) or closing the individual sales yourself.
There is no hard selling here – this is primarily a consultative sales process where we make sure our solution is a great fit for our customers. What this means is that you’ll help with appointment setting as well as closing some sales on your own on the phone. We’ll provide you with sales training and resources to help you succeed.
Your primary responsibility will be to follow-up as quickly as possible with every single new lead assigned to you to either qualify them as a team and schedule a demo with one of our account executives, or educate them on the product and close the more transactional (single user) sales yourself. You’ll also professionally follow-up with everyone who falls out of the sales process and you’ll assist our sales managers in keeping organized, booking demos, and following up.
You’ll have to be absolutely fearless and tenacious via phone, email, and social media. You’ll need to make outbound phone calls and sell like crazy for hours and hours per day without getting burnt out.
The best candidate will be so passionate about the follow-up that they would be following-up on nights and weekends in order to close more business and make more money. The world runs 24 hours a day and we want someone who wants to be available as much as possible to help with our sales process.

A high quality phone (landline preferred, VOIP ok) and your own FAST computer (ideally a Mac), reliable high‐speed Internet access that can support web conferencing.
Your Commitment: This is a 40 hr/ week FTE position.
Work location: Your home or remote office space where calls and online conferences can be conducted free from background noise.
