In this post, we’ll walk you through what’s new, how to set it up, and highlight other features that make PhoneBurner a true team-first dialer platform.
Sales teams take on all kinds of shapes: pods, departments, roles, regions, and so on.
Whether you have a single admin or multiple leaders managing different parts of the team, you need the ability to give the right people the right level of access. This is normally based on two things: who they manage, and what they’re responsible for.
Supervisor Roles make that easy.
As a primary account admin, you can now assign any User as a Supervisor, giving them visibility and access to just the reps and tools they need. You can also grant them customizable admin privileges that match their role.

Supervisor Roles work hand-in-hand with Groups: a simple, flexible way to organize your team into segments that make it easy to assign the right oversight to the right people.
As an admin, you can assign a Supervisor to:
Groups are fully customizable, so it’s easy to mirror your team’s real-world structure. Once assigned, Supervisors can only see and support the reps in their group(s), with exactly the permissions you grant them.
Once you’ve assigned a Supervisor to a group, you decide what they can see and do inside PhoneBurner.
Each permission is toggled individually. This lets you tailor access based on the Supervisor’s role, whether they’re a team lead, trainer, QA manager, or something else.
Available permissions include:
Give Supervisors real-time visibility into team activity, including live call monitoring and the option to whisper or barge in to coach reps on the spot.
Allow Supervisors to log in as users in their group for training, troubleshooting, or coaching—without needing credentials or disrupting workflows.
Grant access to standard PhoneBurner reports, like dial session history, SMS usage, disposition summaries, and more. (Note: custom report support is coming)
Enable Supervisors to search across user accounts in their group. This makes it easy to locate, transfer, or export contacts when needed.
These controls are fully modular. Give your Supervisors the tools they need, and nothing they don’t.
Getting started is quick, and it all starts in Team Settings.
This brings you to the Users page where you manage users and permissions.
Click Groups on the left-hand side and hit Add Group. Name your group and select the Users to include.
For example:
You can edit or delete Groups at any time.
Return to the Users list and choose a team member you'd like to designate.
Changes autosave—no need to click a Save button.
You can repeat this process for multiple Supervisors and Groups, with custom access for each.
